Why This Must Be Read: Sam is delightful in this short story, as she helps their new resident alien find a method of recreation and handles the subsequent conversation with her CO with aplomb. I love her sense of humor, Jonas' enthusiasm for new things, and Jack's wry acknowledgment of who's really responsible for the whole thing.

Why This Must Be Read: From the first reference to Dr. Daniel Jackson (1964-2002, 2004-2060) you will start grinning at the sheer hilarity of this fantastic send up of the many, many mistakes that inevitably creep into any attempt to understand history without the proper references.
