Why This Must Be Read: Oldskool!style fic, complete with off-world shenanigans, teamy goodness, medical and moral dilemmas, and SG-1 running roughshod over evil off-world government officials. Add competent supporting characters (SG-3! SG-13!), Hammond as the reluctant voice of reason, Janet at her spitfire best, and an unexpected clever solution to what seems an insolvable problem... it all adds up to a great story that would easily translate to an episode onscreen.

Why This Must Be Read: This fic is Janet at her intelligent and capable best, coupled with all-around SGC competence and the inevitable need to struggle with the mysterious otherworldliness that is part and parcel of the Stargate.
