Why This Must Be Read: This is a beautiful exploration of Daniel's relationship with music and people over the years, arcing from pre-series to post-series. From Sha're to Sam to Sarah Gardener to Cassie to Vala, Daniel's musical skills and his willingness to play are deeply affected by the people and events in his life. I especially like how the author leaves the color of the goggles to the reader's discretion, especially with Vala: read this as friendship or pre-ship, and it all works wonderfully!
