Why This Must Be Read: This is a simply fabulous character sketch of Dr. Brightman, bringing her vividly and wonderfully to life. Thothmes extrapolates from the little we see of her onscreen and makes her an integral part of the SGC infirmary -- not replacing Janet, but complementing her with herown bedside manner. Medical personnel need to be a team, too, and here, we see Dr. Brightman as a major player. Add sprinklings of humor and cameos from Walter and Siler for a wonderful read!
If Dr. Fraiser, all 5'2" of her, was fire, then Allison Brightman, a tall 5'8", was ice. Ask any trained nurse, and he or she will tell you that there is a time to apply one, and a time to apply the other.
