Why This Must Be Read: I adore fics that explore the remarkable friendship between Teal'c and Daniel. This is early, early S1 - post The Enemy Within - that features Teal'c and Daniel as two outsiders in a crowd, considering cultural conflicts and hoping to build some bridges together. Teal’s stood silently at parade rest, finally offering, “It is a temperate evening.”
Daniel frowned at him. “What?”
“I have observed that many of your people begin a conversation with meaningless exchanges concerning climate.”
“Oh, well.”
The silence stretched out again.
