Why This Must Be Read: This lovely, aching character study draws a conversation between Jonas Quinn and Daniel Jackson during Fallen, when Daniel is still very unsure and speaks with Jonas as the one person he thinks won't have an emotional investment in his uncertainties. Emotionally charged and draining, their exchange is honest, painful, and very, very real. This one will leave you thinking for some kind to come.

"It's strange, I have all of this knowledge, but no context. I could recite large passages of the Egyptian Book of the Dead, if I wanted to, but I can't tell you how I was introduced to it. Jonas shook his head. "It's okay."

Daniel let his hand fall. "No one seems to want to hear this. The others--Jack and Sam and...Teal'c--they'll listen, but I can tell it's hard for them. They always look like they're about to cry. Well, Sam and Teal'c do. Jack looks like he wants to hit something."

"Colonel O'Neill looks like that a lot," Jonas said.

This is sort of off-topic, but you may want to edit your headers so that it doesn't say "Author on LJ" since this isn't LJ! Maybe "Author on DW/LJ" if you're crossposting?

Yes, these are crossposted - thrice, actually. Stargateficrec and the rec archive mirror on LJ. I'll consider changing the headers, but as it's all cut and paste, it might take a while. :)
