Why This Must Be Read: The morning after Jonas first gets official permission to stay on Earth as a refugee: Hammond at his classy best, Teal'c at his most perceptive, Sam still hurting, Jonas astonished at this very new world. Redbyrd's fics always do a marvelous job of filling in the corners of canon, and this one is no exception.
"Teal'c," a light voice sounded behind him. "Jonas," the tone flattened as Major Carter recognized him.
"MajorCarter," Teal'c said, inclining his head gravely. "Please join us."
Jonas thought she looked like she'd rather be shot, but she set down her tray beside him and pulled out a chair.
