Why This Must Be Read: Here is a bleakly beautiful look into Teal'c, looking into Jack, as he observes the man he calls warrior and friend being shackled to a desk and bound to the Earth. This is wise, cultured Teal'c, considering the Tau'ri legends he has learned and applying them to Jack. And most of all, this is quintessential Teal'c: behaving as he knows Jack wants, reacting as he knows Jack needs, and keeping his salute and tribute to "O'Neill" in the silence of his head.
Too perfect to excerpt, and at 400 words, it doesn't need it. Go read this now.
