Why This Must Be Read: This entertaining little series owes its existence to Michael Shanks and his snarky comment at GateCon: "Daniel’s actually a night-time ninja. He fights crime in the streets of Colorado Springs. When everyone thinks he’s up late studying stuff, he’s actually fighting crime on the streets. There's a little tidbit for you fan fiction writers."

I've actually recced another fic based on this premise in the past. While that one was an intense drama, Thel takes a lighthearted approach with this three-part series, in which Daniel becomes a hero without quite intending to do so – twice on Earth, and once off-world. It's quite enjoyable to watch Daniel's reputation inexorably spread, despite all his protests to the contrary!

 We get some nice original characters, some fun Jack POV, and Daniel at his abstracted best. These short, fun stories – complete with the same plaintive refrain, echoed in each one – are a great pick-me-up read at the end of a long day.
