Strix varia gives us an excellent Janet voice, as she considers the Teal'c she knows and the many aspects of his worldview that she can't comprehend. But while she'll never understand the "Jaffa revenge thing" and the desire to kill, Janet and Teal'c share a different bond: the need and drive to protect the ones they love.

His eyes met mine, calm, peaceful, with a depth of wisdom that came from great age. He would die for me, too, I realized with a shock. And he knew that I would do the same for him and SG-1.
