Why This Must Be Read: Part of Scribe's infamous shower series, The Summons takes place in the wake of The Serpent's Venom, when Teal'c is still slowly recovering from the brutal torture sessions he suffered. So when Daniel gets a summons to the infirmary, he's more than a little bit panicked. He rushes there frantically, only to discover that what Teal'c needs isn't exactly what he expected. 

We get Daniel's uncertainties, wonderful bonding, some hilarious misunderstanding from a nurse that wanders in and out of the scene, and priceless Jaffa cunning – all under the shower spray, with Daniel's personal shower gel. What more do you want?
